How the Georgia Promise Scholarship works
The Georgia Promise Scholarship launched in 2025–26 for students zoned to the state's lowest-performing schools, and it runs on Odyssey. The award is $6,500 per year, disbursed quarterly, for students zoned to a bottom-quartile public school who attended Georgia public school the prior year (or are entering kindergarten), with income priority below 400% of the federal poverty level. Apply at mygeorgiapromise.org; the next application windows are August 1–31 and November 1–30. The program enrolled fewer students than its available funding supported in its first year, but awards are not guaranteed if eligible applications exceed available funds.
