Question 1

Who qualifies for the Georgia Promise Scholarship?

Accepted Answer

Students zoned to a bottom-quartile public school who attended Georgia public school the prior year (or are entering kindergarten). Income priority is given to families below 400% of the federal poverty level. The program enrolled fewer students than its available funding supported in its first year, but awards are not guaranteed if eligible applications exceed available funds.

Question 2

How much is the Georgia Promise award?

Accepted Answer

The award is $6,500 per year, disbursed quarterly through the Odyssey platform. Tutoring is an eligible expense under the program.

Question 3

When can I apply for the Georgia Promise Scholarship?

Accepted Answer

Application windows are August 1-31 and November 1-30 each year. The program launched in 2025-26.

Question 4

Do I pay anything up front?

Accepted Answer

Where Aristotle supports Direct Pay, no: your ESA pays Aristotle directly through the program portal. Other programs use reimbursement, meaning you pay first and submit documentation for approval. We will confirm which method applies before you enroll.

Question 5

What paperwork does Aristotle provide?

Accepted Answer

Everything your program requires: itemized invoices with the student's name, service dates, and subjects covered. We also provide progress reports and vendor approval documentation on request.

Question 6

What if I have multiple children?

Accepted Answer

Each student's ESA funds are separate, so each student requires an individual invoice. We prepare these automatically when you sign up.

Question 7

How is Aristotle different from ChatGPT or a homework app?

Accepted Answer

Answer apps hand your child the solution and forget them when the chat ends. Aristotle teaches the way expert tutors do: it asks your child to explain their thinking, finds the misconception underneath a wrong answer, and guides them with questions until they solve it themselves. It remembers what your child has mastered and plans what to teach next.
