Working with young learners is a privilege. Our safety approach combines checks during tutoring, session review, and human judgment.
How learner safety works
Three layers of support, during and after every lesson.
Guidance during the lesson
Aristotle is designed to keep conversations focused on learning. When a student wanders into an unrelated topic, the tutor gently brings the lesson back on track.
A separate safety check
When the tutor notices a possible safety concern, a separate system reviews the conversation and provides guidance. The response follows safety standards written by our team.
Review beyond the session
An automatic review checks sessions after they end. Flagged conversations go to a person for review, with the level of concern guiding what happens next.

All safety flags are reviewed by a human.
When our system flags concerning conversations, it goes straight to our safety team (while the session is still in progress!). If it's not a false positive, we'll alert the parent about the session and advise on what happened.
Aristotle’s role is to support learning. It does not replace a parent, teacher, therapist, or emergency service, and it will refuse to continue unsafe discussion on non-learning topics.

No stored raw audio
We process voice for live tutoring, but do not store raw audio recordings.
Responsible transcripts
We only use transcripts and session artifacts to support your lesson history, teaching quality, and safety review.

What if my child brings up inappropriate material?
Aristotle is designed to redirect harmless distractions back to the lesson and avoid helping with unsafe requests. Potential safety concerns are checked and flagged for our team to review.
Can I review my child’s sessions?
